The Gist

Paris Hilton takes Halloween very seriously.

The socialite and heiress donned multiple Halloween costumes this year—including one with an emotional backstory.

To cap off her “Halloweek” on October 31, Hilton wore a lime green Tinker Bell costume that paid homage to one of the loves of her life.

Among Hilton’s numerous costumes worn this week, she capped the week off on Friday wearing a lime green Tinker Bell costume that has more significance than meets the eye. Hilton attended the annual Vas J. Morgan and Michael Braun Halloween party in Los Angeles last night wearing a plunging fairy costume with thigh-high boots, matching lime green opera gloves, and a coordinated choker and sunglasses in the same color scheme. She wore her hair partially up with blonde tendrils falling around her face.

In addition to being a cute costume, Hilton’s Tinker Bell reference goes beyond just Peter Pan. Famously, Hilton’s dog was named Tinkerbell, and the chihuahua was so often on her mom’s arm that she even earned acting credits in Hilton’s 2000s reality show The Simple Life. Tinkerbell died at age 14 in 2015, which left Hilton “so sad and devastated,” she wrote on Instagram at the time.

“I feel like I’ve lost a member of my family,” she added. “She was such a special and incredible soul. We went through so much together. I can’t believe she’s gone. I will miss her and think about her for the rest of my life. I love you Tinky, you are a Legend and will never be forgotten.”

Hilton honored Tinkerbell 10 years after her death, and told People earlier this month that being a dog mom prepared her to become mom to kids Phoenix Barron, 2, and London Marilyn, 23 months, whom she shares with husband Carter Reum.

“My dogs are my first babies before I had kids,” she said. “They have brought so much happiness into my life, and they bring so much love to your life.”

Speaking of Tinkerbell specifically—who was Hilton’s first dog—Hilton added that the teacup chihuahua “was my first love, and just my best friend, my sister, my sidekick, my family—my everything.”

In addition to her son and daughter, Hilton currently has five dogs, telling the publication, “Every day, you just feel so much happiness, just, like, having them by your side.”

Before heading out to the aforementioned party, Hilton trick-or-treated with Phoenix and London, who Hilton told People “are best friends. It’s like they’re twins. It’s just the cutest thing. It’s like a built-in best friend for life.”

Hilton shared glimpses of the family’s trick-or-treating on a pink golf cart on her Instagram Story on Friday, matching with London in Minnie Mouse costumes while Phoenix went as Mickey Mouse.

“Say happy Halloween!” Hilton said to the group. “Say trick-or-treat! Everybody say trick-or-treat.”

Earlier in the week, Hilton dressed as Little Bo Peep while her family dressed as characters from Toy Story, describing her family as the #CutsieCrew. London also dressed up as a dog while Phoenix went as Elliot from the movie E.T. the Extraterrestrial.

Hilton pulled out her Tinker Bell costume earlier in the week, too, coordinating with her family in Peter Pan-themed costumes. Hilton’s husband Reum was Captain Hook, while Phoenix was Peter Pan and London, Wendy Darling. They posed together against a glittery forest backdrop that Hilton called “Slivingland,” a play, of course, off of Neverland.

Hilton’s costumes didn’t end there—she also sported a Cat Woman getup and wore a red latex catsuit inspired by Britney Spears’s 2000 music video for “Oops! I Did It Again.”

“Oops, I did it again🔥,” she wrote on Instagram of her Spears-inspired costume. “Starting off #Halloweek by honoring my Queen @BritneySpears👑. #That’sHot✨#IconsOnly💫.”
