Blake Lively has seemingly been on the sidelines of it all, especially when it comes to her friendship with Taylor Swift. This year, they allegedly had a major fight over all the legal battles she was dragged into, and despite their 10-year-long friendship, it was seemingly halted. And now, Swift’s go-to gal is fellow Chiefs WAG, Brittany Mahomes. Insiders recently told Rob Shuter for his #ShuterScoop Substack that Lively is allegedly ultra-jealous of Swift’s BFF status with Mahomes.

“Blake used to be Taylor’s go-to for girls’ nights, glamour, fun — she was the closest confidante,” a source said. “Now Brittany is in all the photos, all the private suites, getting all the attention. Blake is… adjusting.”

They added, “It’s not toxic — it’s human. Blake has always been the one by Taylor’s side at big events. Suddenly, someone else is sitting in that literal and metaphorical seat.”

“Taylor builds deep friendships — and she has room for everyone. But Blake liked being the main character in the best-friend storyline,” another source added to the outlet.

It all started with the It Ends With Us legal drama. There were rumors of a rift between Lively and her co-star Baldoni from the start. However, it all hit the fan when Lively sued Baldoni for sexual harassment and a retaliatory smear campaign in a civil suit back in Dec 2024, which The New York Times wrote about.

Days later, Baldoni filed a libel suit against The New York Times, and the following month, he filed a civil suit against Lively and her husband for defamation. Then, after Swift was drawn into the drama, rumors of a rift between her and Lively emerged, and it was seemingly confirmed when Lively didn’t congratulate Swift on her engagement to Kelce.

However, Lively did subtley respond to her new album, so it seems they’re still not on that BFF level they were at before.
