Samira Wiley and Jin Ha have joined the Broadway cast of Proof, opposite Ayo Edebiri and Don Cheadle.
This marks the Broadway debut for Wiley, an Emmy Award winner for her role on The Handmaid’s Tale and a breakout cast member on Orange Is the New Black. Ha has starred in Hamilton on Broadway and in Chicago and appears in the Apple TV+ series Pacinko.
Proof is set for a 16-week engagement at the Booth Theatre starting March 31, 2026, ahead of an April 16 opening night. Edebiri, an Emmy Award winner for The Bear, and Cheadle, known for Hotel Rwanda, Steven Soderbergh’s Oceans trilogy and more, are also making their Broadway debuts in the production.
Wiley has previously appeared on stages in London, including in her recent return to Donmar Warehouse in a production of Lynn Nottage’s Intimate Apparel. Off-Broadway she starred in the 2016 production of Daphne’s Dive at the Signature Theatre.
Ha also appeared Off-Broadway in the world premiere of Stephen Sondheim’s final musical Here We Are at The Shed and in Julie Taymor’s production of David Henry Hwang’s M. Butterfly.
