Things are about to get fascinating for Logan. The latest series involving Wolverine might end the 2025 calendar year with an absolute bang, if it turns out to be what many expect and hope for, a storyline that could help usher in a new era for the Marvel Universe — a four-part limited series named Wolverine: Weapons of Armageddon that might have fans clawing their way to the comics store.

Launching this coming February, Marvel teases the series as a “game-changing event” that features a transformation of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, and compares it to the events of Avengers: Disassembled with teases of it having come by way of Ultimate Spider-Man: Incursion, Miles Morales: Spider-Man and even Captain America (Chip Zdarsky and Valerio Schiti’s run). Considering just how well-received those were, along with a sneak peek at the four covers to come, there’s a more than solid chance Wolverine: Weapons of Armageddon lives up to its hype.

Zdarsky was asked to describe what readers should expect in February 2026 with the series debuts, and he had plenty to say about what’s in store for Wolverine and Marvel.

“The Road to Armageddon starts with super soldiers, starts with the Weapon X program. And Wolverine is going to kick off the end of everything. For readers of Captain America, this is essential! For readers who want to know where the Marvel Universe is going, same. I’m pretty thrilled to get to tell this massive story, starting in Cap and really kicking it off here in Wolverine: Weapons of Armageddon!”

Maresca, known for all manner of beautiful Marvel Comics art, is blessing Wolverine: Weapons of Armageddon with his skillful hand and, not unlike Zdarsky, claims fans are in for one hell of a ride in 2026.

“People often ask me who my favorite character is to draw, and my answer is always the same: Spider-Man and Wolverine. I love drawing Wolverine in action, capturing his expressions, but I also love drawing Logan and giving him all the nuances of his tormented soul.

“What makes it even better is working with Chip Zdarsky, who I got to know and love during his run on Daredevil with Marco Checchetto. I know this is a prelude to a much bigger story, Armageddon, which I think is going to be something extremely crazy and exciting. It’s really a dream come true, and I’m trying to do my best and live up to expectations. I hope you’re as excited as I am!”

Though Wolverine: Weapons of Armageddon isn’t set to hit stores on February 18, readers are able to preorder now through their local comics shop, and expect more updates over the next several weeks ahead of the launch … bub.
