Cody Rhodes and Jade Cargill are WWE SmackDown’s top dogs. After successful showings at Saturday Night’s Main Event, the future is promising yet unclear for undisputed WWE champion Rhodes and WWE women’s champion Cargill.

Rhodes and Cargill overcame recurring rivals over the weekend. Rhodes once again defeated Drew McIntyre; meanwhile, Cargill finally defeated Tiffany Stratton after prior setbacks for her first WWE singles title. Both champions are scheduled to appear on Friday as they forge towards Survivor Series.

Speaking of champions, two title defenses are scheduled for SmackDown. United States champion Ilja Dragunov continues Sami Zayn’s tradition, and John Cena’s before him, by staking the U.S. title in an open challenge. Women’s United States champion Giulia defends her title against inaugural titleholder Chelsea Green.
