Elizabeth Olsen and Josh Brolin share a special bond.
On the Tuesday, November 4, episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the 36-year-old actress was asked by host Jimmy Kimmel how Brolin felt about his Marvel Cinematic Universe character Thanos being killed (with help from Olsen’s Scarlet Witch) in Avengers: Endgame.
“Have you apologized to him for that? Has he forgiven you?” Kimmel, 57, asked Olsen, to which she jokingly replied: “I bet he’s very upset to have left the Marvel Universe. I bet he would like to return.”
When Kimmel followed up by asking Olsen if she had ever seen his “body like that,” she noted that she actually has seen plenty of Brolin’s bod.
“I have, actually, because we had sex in Spike Lee’s movie [Oldboy],” she explained, laughing.
In the 2013 action thriller film, directed by Lee, Brolin plays a man who is on the hunt for his captors after being mysteriously imprisoned for years. He meets a nurse named Marie (played by Olsen) who offers to help him, and they eventually have sex.

“We didn’t know we were going to get there tonight,” Olsen told Kimmel regarding the sex scene. “But here we are!”
Olsen visited the late-night show to promote her upcoming film Eternity, which also stars Miles Teller, Callum Turner, John Early, Olga Merediz and Da’Vine Joy Randolph.
“It is a romantic comedy in the afterlife,” Olsen explained. “I am a 90-year-old woman who wakes up in the afterlife, and her husband of 65 years is waiting for her as well as her first husband who died in the Korean War. And she has to choose who she wants to spend eternity with.”
The film, which premiered at the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival, is set to release nationwide in theaters on November 26.
