Malaika Arora has collaborated with Honey Singh. She will soon be seen in the singer-rapper’s new music video, Chillgum, from his latest album 51 Glorious Days. On Thursday, a video teaser of the upcoming music video was released, which featured Malaika in a series of cut-out, glittery dresses.
However, soon after the teaser was shared, netizens expressed disappointment with it and slammed the Bollywood diva. While some argued that the song does not look sexy but vulgar, others urged the makers to delete it.
“It’s because she can’t do it properly and that’s why it seems vulgar. Same thing happened with Tripti in mere mehboob song. First these choreographers come up with the most sleaziest in your face sexual/vulgar moves and then if an actress can’t pull it off ( because let’s be real not everyone can dance great ) they get shamed online,” one of the users wrote.
“I request pls remove this video,” added another. “Please start behaving, Malaika,” added another. Some other users even called the teaser “cringe”.
“The problem is that it isn’t even sexy or attractive. It’s just vulgar. You can mostly get away with frisky behaviour and performances if you know how to make it actually look good. Just take a look at old projects Malaika was in compared to this one,” wrote another.
However, despite the criticism, Mahhi Vij came out in support of Malaika Arora. She took to the comments section of the music video teaser and wrote, “Hottest woman❤️whistle”.

Over the years, Malaika Arora has featured in several hot dance numbers, including Chaiyya Chaiyya, Munni Badnaam Hui, Anarkali Disco Chali and Maahi Ve.
Recently, Malaika also opened up about being a part of item songs when she told THR India, “Earlier, they were mostly about glamour and spectacle, often detached from a woman’s individuality. Today, filmmakers are more conscious… they integrate these numbers into stories with stronger character context. It’s less about being provocative and more about performance and presence. I see it as an evolution where women can own their space.”
