U. S. forces are now overseeing aid transfers into the Gaza Strip alongside Israel as part of President Trump’s ceasefire plan. An Israeli security official stated that the U. S.-led Civil-Military Coordination Center (CMCC) will take over the aid oversight, with Israel still involved in policy and decision-making. The CMCC will determine what aid enters Gaza and manage the flow.

The ceasefire agreement, reached a month ago between Israel and Hamas, marked a pause in the ongoing war that began after an attack by Hamas militants. This deal aims to release hostages and prisoners. The CMCC began its operations in late October to help ensure aid reaches Gaza, where significant humanitarian needs were reported.

However, agencies have noted that not enough aid is reaching the area, despite Israel claiming it meets its ceasefire obligations to send 600 trucks of supplies daily. The U. S. will coordinate with global partners on aid, but restrictions remain on some organizations and items with dual uses, civilian and military.
