The Olympic Torch Relay of Milano Cortina 2026 marks the beginning of Italy’s road to the Games. As of 11 November 2025, a new section is available on the official Milano Cortina 2026 website and on the Olympic Games™ app, dedicated to telling the story of the Flame’s journey. Stay tuned for more details on the full route, news, and exclusive content starting from November 17, along with the names of the already announced torchbearers and digital ambassadors of the Torch Relay.
A Nation united by the Flame
The Olympic Torch Relay will begin on 26 November 2025 in Olympia, with the lighting of the Olympic flame, which will then travel through Greece before arriving in Rome on 4 December. Two days later, on 6 December, the Flame will set off on a 63-day route covering 60 city celebrations and more than 12,000 kilometers, passing through all 110 Italian provinces. Each stop will be an opportunity for celebration and collective participation, honoring the Olympic values and the beauty of this Country.
The route has been designed to pay tribute to Italy’s extraordinary cultural and historical heritage — the nation with the highest number of UNESCO World Heritage sites in the world.
A symbol that unites
From north to south, from major cities to small villages, the entire country will take part in a journey that connects people, places, and traditions — celebrating the energy of a nation moving together toward the Games. The Flame will reach Naples for Christmas, ring in the New Year in Bari, and on 26 January return to Cortina d’Ampezzo, exactly 70 years after the Opening Ceremony of the 1956 Games. The Olympic Torch Relay will conclude in Milano, on the evening of Friday, 6 February 2026, as the Flame enters San Siro Stadium for the Opening Ceremony of the Olympic Winter Games.
