Hair loss is a common problem that can be embarrassing and morale shattering for those that suffer. Products to combat or reverse it can often be expensive, with consumers having no idea whether or not it will actually be effective.
However, award-winning supplement company Dr Vegan has formulated a tablet which can be bought as part of a subscription package. Called Hair Saviour, it is a vegan hair supplement for hair loss and hair thinning, which has been receiving rave reviews online.
Hair Saviour can be ordered from Dr Vegan, and using the discount code HAIR25, will take the price to £19.50 for one pouch, making them work out to cost just 65p a day. Shoppers can also purchase them with an extra 25% off their subscription with code SAVIOUR25. This will lead to savings of up to 40% if subscribed to a three-month supply.
Currently reduced, their subscription offers (without the extra code) include one pouch every thirty days for £22.09, two pouches every 60 days for £42.87, reduced from £51.98 and three pouches every 90 days for £62.99, reduced from £77.97.
The capsules promise thicker, lustrous, glowing hair, with results expected in 60 days, the brand claims. The tablets combine 14 scientifically studied ingredients including MSM, AnaGain, saw palmetto, silica, alfalfa, zinc and biotin, which help with nutrient deficiencies that may otherwise contribute to hair loss or hair thinning.

Users typically see noticeable improvements in hair thickness, reduced shedding, and new growth within 8–12 weeks, Dr Vegan says.
Formulated by nutritionists, it uses AnaGain, which has been shown to restore hair vitality, prolong the hair life cycle and support denser hair. In one clinical study of AnaGain, it was shown that the ratio of healthy, active hair follicles to degenerating ones improved from 4.0 to 7.2, corresponding to a 78% increase in the propensity for hair growth.

AnaGain is sourced from pea sprouts, which are rich in phytonutrients, while the supplements also contain saw palmetto, a small, rugged palm grown widely in the US, which has been found to help regulate hormones, and support hair health.
Users have reported seeing visible results in hair thickness, reduced shedding, and new growth within eight to 12 weeks. Four out of five people (81%) said they had found it effective, based on a survey of 62 customers in July last year.
Consumers can be reassured that the tablets do not contain any nasties, as they are natural and plant-based, making them 100% vegan and cruelty-free. They support not just hair health, but also the scalp and root vitality by using biotin, zinc, selenium, and plant extracts.
Two capsules need to be taken daily, consistently for at least 60 days, and they can be taken with or without food. They are also gluten-free and easy to swallow.
The manufacturers stress that they are not suitable for those that are pregnant, breastfeeding, taking any medications or under medical supervision, or those that have had or are at risk of oestrogen-positive breast cancer.

An alternative product, which is available at Amazon, is the Biotin Hair Growth Vitamins 12,000mcg D-Biotin Tablets. Enriched with zinc and selenium, they are also vegan and cost £8.97 for a three month supply of 180 tablets.
Meanwhile Boots has the Hairburst Healthy Hair Vitamins 60 Capsules (1 month supply) for £27, and say that these tablets are a ‘premium mix’ of vitamins to help shoppers maintain healthy hair. They contain Collagen, Silica and Biotin.
