He may spend a final Christmas at Royal Lodge, as he and former wife Sarah Ferguson did last year.
Andrew and Sarah live together at the 30-room property, but are understood to live completely separate lives.
Royal biographer Ingrid Seward said: “It is a very difficult situation with Andrew and Christmas. But I cannot see them leaving him on his own – someone will scoop him up.”
The Standard have reached out to Andrew’s press office for comment, but they have not responded.

When Andrew withdrew from last year’s gathering amid growing controversy, his younger daughter Princess Eugenie avoided the royal’s public church walk on Christmas Day, although elder daughter Princess Beatrice did participate.
Sarah’s plans for this year are currently unknown – she could spend Christmas abroad, with friends, or with Andrew at Royal Lodge.
Where will the rest of the Royal family be?
Christmas represents one of the most significant occasions in the Royal calendar, and as is tradition the bulk of the Royals will be spending Christmas at Sandringham House, their private estate in Norfolk, which has been the custom since 1988.

Typically, the family gathers during the evening on Christmas Eve to exchange gifts, before joining the public on Christmas morning for a church service.
Andrew’s current residence, Royal Lodge is a Grade II-listed historic house in Windsor Great Park.

The Queen Mother lived there from 1952 until her death in 2002, and it has served as Andrew’s official residence since 2004.

It is believed he will relocate to a property on the Sandringham estate, with King Charles covering the costs.
It is thought the move won’t occur until after Christmas as to avoid any encounters with other Royals over the festive period.
Sarah will be making her own living arrangements after leaving Royal Lodge – while her plans aren’t currently known, she and Andrew will not continue to live together.
