A new iPhone feature will allow users to input their American passport information and use their Apple Wallet as a digital form of identification at hundreds of airports around the country.

The new Digital ID can be used instead of a Real-ID at airports for domestic travel (international travel will still require a physical passport).
The company won’t be able to see when and where users present their ID or what data was shared, Apple says, adding it must be presented using a face or touch ID to prevent anyone from using another’s Digital ID.

Where Can You Use Digital Id?
There are 11 states and territories allowing the use of IDs stored in Apple Wallet for domestic travel at select airports, according to TSA: Arizona, California, Colorado, Georgia, Hawaii, Iowa, Maryland, Montana, New Mexico, Ohio and Puerto Rico.
