The remuneration index accelerated in September by 1.8 percentage points compared to the evolution recorded in August (7.9%). The employment index increased by 0.4 percentage points, for an annual variation of 2.7%.
In summary, “the monthly variation in the employment index was 0.7% (0.2% in September 2024), while that of remuneration was -2.3% (-4.0% in the same month of 2024),” the institute reports.
The Construction Production Index registered an annual increase of 3% in September, 0.3 percentage points higher than the previous month.
Contributing to the increase was the positive evolution in building construction, which increased by 3.8%, 0.2 percentage points higher than in August. Civil engineering went from a growth of 1.4% in the previous month to 1.8% in September.
