Matt Reeves is hard at work on the long-awaited The Batman Part II, but he’s also producing another Batman-related project that will show Gotham City in a way unlike anything you’ve seen before. It’s been a year since DC Studios announced Dynamic Duo, an upcoming animated feature about the friendship between Dick Grayson and Jason Todd, both of whom are known for being Batman’s trusty ward Robin before they eventually took on their own alter egos. Now, the superhero flick has a brand-new update as it prepares for production. Swaybox Studios, the studio attached to the project, is now looking for people to be part of the DC feature. Want to have your name attached to an official superhero project? Now is the time to do so.

Swaybox Studios released a video on social media announcing that it will hold online auditions for Momo Animators for Dynamic Duo on November 15. Momo Animation is a mashup of CGI animation, stop-motion, and live-action performance, and according to the studio, the role is more akin to “puppetry and dance.” They’re looking for anyone interested, even if you don’t have experience. According to its website, the audition link will be active from 9 am to 9 pm CST, and the only things required are a ruler and “a way to film yourself.” The audition page on the website doesn’t include any other specific details about the role, aside from the fact that it’s not being considered a voice-acting position.

Dynamic Duo is an upcoming animated feature directed by Arthur Mintz and written by Matthew Aldrich. While James Gunn and Matt Reeves are producing the feature, it is not yet clear whether Dynamic Duo will take place in the main DCU continuity alongside projects like Superman and Peacemaker, or if it will be a disconnected “Elseworlds” storyline. At the moment, no one has been announced to voice the two Robins, and it’s currently unknown what other DC-related characters will also appear in the feature.

What Other Batman Projects Are Being Worked On?

DC Studios have been very busy lately following the success of Superman, and it was even recently announced that Clark Kent (David Corenswet) and Lex Luthor (Nicholas Hoult) will face the notorious Brainiac in the upcoming Superman follow-up, Man of Tomorrow. While the next project in development is Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, DC also has eyes on Gotham, as The Batman: Part II (which does not take place in the DCU) is about to enter production. Recently, it announced that it has hired Emmy-winning Andor production designer Luke Hull for the sequel and that filming is scheduled to start next year.

As for Batman’s official DCU debut in The Brave and The Bold, the project is currently postponed, according to The Flash director Andy Muschietti, who’s the only name attached so far. No one has been officially cast for the film as of writing, and according to Gunn, whatever news out there is either speculation or made up, as only a handful of people know what’s going on behind the scenes.

Dynamic Duo is scheduled to enter theaters in 2028. Follow Collider to stay up to date with the latest updates.
