This means that the Lurking Dark tasks are different – both in reward and challenge – to the Fanciful Fairy tasks.

Lurking Dark research tasks in Pokémon Go

Here are the field research tasks you can find from spinning PokéStops during the Lurking Dark habitat hour:

Catch 10 Dark-type Pokémon reward – Murkrow encounter, Galarian Zigzagoon encounter, 1,000 Stardust or 3 Ultra Balls
Catch 4 different species of Dark-type Pokémon reward – Skorupi or Scraggy encounter
Catch 2 Mighty Pokémon reward – Mighty Houndoom or Mighty Absol encounter
Make 1 Excellent Throw reward – Wilderness Cape Bewear encounter, one Golden Razz Berry or one Silver Pinap Berry
Transfer 5 Dark-type Pokémon reward – 10 Poké Balls or 1,000 Stardust
Power up Dark-type Pokémon 5 times reward – Alolan Grimer, Houndour or Inkay encounter
