The Israeli High Court of Justice ruled on Sunday that, under the current unusual circumstances, Justice Minister Yariv Levin has the authority to appoint someone to oversee the criminal investigation into the leak and its alleged cover-up of a video by Military Advocate General Yifat Tomer-Yerushalmi. But the court imposed a series of limitations that, to a considerable extent, constrain whom Levin might select.
