EXCLUSIVE: Saint-Pierre‘s second season is just around the corner. Canada’s CBC has set a January 5, 2026 launch date for the crime drama and released a trailer, which we’ve got here. Watch it above.

The 12-part season, once again shot on the location on the French island Saint-Pierre et Miquelon and
St. John’s Newfoundland, will see detective Fitz (Allan Hawco) and Arch (Josephine Jobert) dealing with the fallout from a major incident at the end of Season 1, as a new, twisted case begins.

Despite their very different approaches to police work, the pair grow closer personally and professionally, and per the synopsis, they investigate a potential serial killer on the loose, and a host of new criminals and unique villainy with specific ties to their jurisdiction, per the synopsis.

“Gruesome doesn’t come close to describing this,” says a voice over ominously as forensics explore a dark room with a dead man stripped and positioned in a strange. “Most of his organs were removed.”

Season 1 was CBC’s most-watched new series of this year. The new season will roll out on Monday nights at 9pm local time on CBC and stream on CBC Gem.

Hawco Productions makes the show in association with Fifth Season, which handles international distribution. Hawco (Republic of Doyle, Caught), Robina Lord-Stafford and Perry Chafe are the creators, with Hawco and Lord-Stafford as showrunners. Janine Squires, Erin Sullivan, Lord-Stafford, John Vatcher and Hawco. are the exec producers.

Hawco stars opposite Jobert (Death in Paradise), with James Purefoy (Rome, Sex Education), Benz Antoine (Four Brothers, Get Rich or Die Tryin’), Erika Prevost (The Boys, Dare Me) and Jean-Michel Le Gal (Paris Paris, Accused) rounding out the cast.
