Israel has received one thousand aircraft shipments of military supplies since October 2023, according to an announcement from the Israeli Defense Ministry. The massive airlift operation has transported over 120,000 tons of military equipment including ammunition, weapons systems, and protective gear to support Israeli military operations in Gaza and throughout the region.
Massive Logistics Operation
The thousandth aircraft carrying military equipment landed in Tel Aviv recently, where it was received by Defense Ministry Director General Amir Baram. The comprehensive logistics operation has involved both air and sea transport, with approximately 150 naval vessels supplementing the aerial deliveries. The supplies have included advanced ammunition, armored vehicles, medical equipment, and communications systems.
International Support Network
While the Israeli announcement did not specify originating countries, it noted the participation of US and Berlin missions in the transportation operations. The disclosure comes after UN Special Rapporteur Francesca Albanese reported that over 60 countries are directly complicit in supporting Israel’s military campaign through arms shipments, diplomatic backing, and other forms of assistance.
Substantial US Military Funding
The United States has provided the cornerstone of this support, with total American military assistance reaching $21.7 billion since October 2023 across both the Biden and Trump administrations. This substantial funding has enabled the continuation of military operations that have resulted in nearly 70,000 Palestinian deaths and the widespread destruction of infrastructure throughout the Gaza Strip.
