For the first time in over a decade, Hilary Duff is reminding fans what dreams are made of.

The “Cinderella Story” star announced the release of her first album since 2015, titled “luck…or something.” Duff co-wrote the album alongside her husband and Grammy-winning producer Matthew Koma.

The project, which features the single “Mature,” will explore Duff’s journey through adulthood since her Disney Channel days as the “Lizzie McGuire” star. “I am often asked how I still have my head on straight after growing up in this industry,” Duff said in a statement. “The album title is my way of answering that question.”

“It’s luck, but there’s also a lot of weight in the ‘…or something,'” she continued. “Many of the things I’ve been through along the way are held there, and I feel like ultimately that’s what’s shaped me.”

Hilary Duff drops ‘Mature’: Who is it about?

Duff kicked off her comeback with the Nov. 6 release of “Mature.” In the bubbly, ’80s-tinged track, the singer recounts a time when she dated someone older than her while she had a naive perception of romance.

“She looks like shе could be your daughter / Like me before I got smarter,” Duff sings. “When I was flattered to hear you say / ‘You’re so mature for your age, babe.'”

Though a news release referred to the song as a piece of “autofiction,” the tune prompted speculation that the track was about Duff’s romantic link to Good Charlotte rocker Joel Madden when she was 16 and he was 25.

Following their 2006 split, Madden went on to marry Nicole Richie, and Duff married Koma in 2019 after her split from her ex-husband, retired hockey player Mike Comrie.

However, theories of bad blood were shut down after Richie congratulated Duff on her return to music on her Instagram story on Nov. 11.

“‘Mature’ is not the word I would use to describe us, but regardless, this song is a BOP,” she wrote alongside a photo of her and Duff lying on the grass laughing.

When is Hilary Duff’s new album out?
