According to these sources, a temporary Israeli withdrawal would avoid a “humiliating disqualification.” A neutral flag could effectively be the flag of the Kan broadcasting corporation, as Europeans have no issue with the Israeli broadcaster, but rather with the Israeli government’s policies.
