Peacock has released the trailer for its new mystery comedy series, The ‘Burbs, starring Keke Palmer and Jack Whitehall.
The eight-episode series, an adaptation of the 1989 film starring Tom Hanks and Carrie Fisher, is set to premiere all episodes on Sunday, February 8.
Palmer is one of the executive producers alongside Seth MacFarlane and Brian Grazer.
What is The ‘Burbs about?
Inspired by the 1989 horror-comedy film of the same name and set in present-day suburbia, The ‘Burbs follows a young couple who have reluctantly relocated to the husband’s childhood home. Their world is upended when a new neighbor moves in across the street, bringing old secrets of the cul-de-sac to light, and new deadly threats shatter the illusion of their quiet little neighborhood.

The cast of The ‘Burbs includes Keke Palmer (Samira), Jack Whitehall (Rob), Julia Duffy (Lynn), Paula Pell (Dana), Mark Proksch (Tod), and Kapil Talwalkar (Naveen). Kyrie McAlpin (Rory) and Justin Kirk (Gary) also make an appearance in Season 1.
The series produced by UCP, a division of Universal Studio Group, was created, written, and executive-produced by Celeste Hughey with Rachel Shukert also serving as a writer and executive producer. Star Keke Palmer also serves as an executive producer. Seth MacFarlane, Erica Huggins, and Aimee Carlson executive produce for Fuzzy Door, while Brian Grazer and Natalie Berkus are EPs for Imagine Entertainment. Nzingha Stewart directs and executive produces, while Dana Olsen is a co-executive producer.
