After reports that Meghan Markle reached out to her estranged father, Thomas Markle, as he underwent an emergency leg amputation surgery in the Philippines, one person is calling the Duchess’s bluff.

In a series of posts on X, Meghan’s 61-year-old half-sister Samantha Markle called the story “likely a PR stunt because of public scrutiny,” and said, “Believe it if he’s put on a private jet and put into one of the best hospitals in the United States for care. Until then don’t hold your breath.”

In one post, Samantha seemingly suggested that Meghan, 44, has not actually reached out to Thomas, 81, writing, “‘Houston’ there’s been no contact… Time to stop the PR b******* Medusa.” She then went on to criticize the As Ever founder and Prince Harry’s past responses to world events, writing “Are we shocked? Disaster tourism much? No surprise….”

When UK journalist—and longtime Meghan adversary—Dan Wootton chimed in saying that he suspects Meghan released the story about contacting her father “to steal attention from” her sister in law Kate Middleton, Samantha responded, “Exactly unless they prove intent with action and put them in the best possible medical Care.”
