How has the RBA’s cash rate tracked?

Good morning

Hi everyone and happy Tuesday!

Adelaide Miller here with you to kick off the markets and finance blog.

I’ll start off with market movements overnight as we all patiently wait to see what the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) will do with interest rates.

But in short, the ASX 200 is set to open lower when the markets open in a few hours, and the RBA is expected to keep rates on hold today.

Speaking of rates, we are also only a few days away from hearing from the US Federal Reserve will do with interest rates in the states, although a 25 percentage point cut is expected.

Go grab a coffee and see you soon!
