Here are Sunday’s key updates:

â–  At least 15 people have been killed in a shooting attack that Australian Police call a “terrorist incident” at a Hanukkah event in Sydney’s Bondi Beach.

â–  Chabad named three of the victims so far: Rabbi Eli Schlanger, an emissary for Chabad; Alex Kleytman, a Holocaust survivor; and Reuven Morrison, a resident of Melbourne and member of the Chabad community. Dan Elkayam, a Jewish French citizen, was also named by the French Foreign Ministry as one of the victims of the fatal shooting attack. A leading figure in the Australian Jewish community told CNN that a 12-year-old girl was also among the fatalities.

â–  New South Wales Police clarified that there were only two perpetrators and that they are not looking for further suspects. The police said that the perpetrators were a 50-year-old father, who was killed, along with his 24-year-old son, who was severely wounded and was taken to a hospital for treatment under police supervision.

â–  The Israeli Foreign Ministry said that at least one Israeli was killed and another one was wounded in the attack.

â–  Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu blamed Australia’s policies for the attack, saying they “pour fuel on the antisemitic fire.”

â–  Israel’s National Security Council issued an advisory update to Israeli citizens abroad, “strongly” recommending they avoid mass events that are not secured, in synagogues, Chabad centers or Hanukkah parties.

â–  Several countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Iran, Qatar, Lebanon and the Palestinian Authority, issued statements condemning the attack. “That was an anti-Semitic attack, obviously. And that – I just want to pay my respects to everybody,” said U.S. President Donald Trump.

â–  The Israeli military said it struck and killed three Hezbollah operatives in separate locations across southern Lebanon.

â–  Israeli settlers raided the Palestinian village of Ein al-Duyuk near Jericho in the West Bank and attacked and wounded nine residents, Palestinian media reported.

â–  The Israeli army said soldiers killed a Palestinian who crossed the Yellow Line, delimiting the Israeli-controlled territory in Gaza, after they alleged the Palestinian approached troops, “posing an immediate threat to them.”

â–  Hamas’ Gaza chief Khalil Al-Hayya confirmed the killing of the group’s senior commander Raed Saed in an Israeli strike a day earlier.

â–  A Palestinian man was killed by the Israeli military after allegedly attempting to stab soldiers near the Kiryat Arba settlement outside Hebron, the IDF said.
