Representatives from the United States, Egypt, Qatar and Turkey met in Miami to “to review the implementation of the first phase of the Gaza cease-fire and to advance preparations for the second phase,” U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witkoff said in a statement.

“The first phase has yielded progress, including expanded humanitarian assistance, the return of hostage bodies, partial force withdrawals, and a reduction in hostilities,” the statement read.

According to the statement, the sides “discussed regional integration measures” and “expressed our support for the near-term establishment and operationalization of the Board of Peace as a transitional administration” in Gaza.

The representatives also reaffirmed their commitment to U.S. President Donald Trump’s Gaza peace plan and urged “all parties to uphold their obligations, exercise restraint, and cooperate with monitoring arrangements.”
