Nicky Buckley has shared a confronting glimpse into her recovery after undergoing eye surgery.
The former model and television presenter, 60, took to Instagram on Sunday to reassure fans after many expressed concern over her appearance.
She shared raw before-and-after photos that show significant bruising and swelling around one eye.
In the striking images, Nicky appeared make-up free and was dressed casually in a white shirt, with her hair slicked back from her face as she looked into the camera.
One image, labelled ‘yesterday’, shows visible redness and bruising beneath her left eye, while a second photo marked ‘today’ reveals the swelling had worsened overnight, with her eyelid appearing puffy and deeply discoloured.
Alongside the photos, Buckley was quick to play down the shock factor, writing: ‘No sympathy please – I’m all good.’

‘Sharing because so many asked what I’d had done and so many said they’d done the same and it had changed their lives and…. So many said they’d wanted to do it but were too scared.’
Nicky explained she had undergone lens replacement or cataract-related surgery, revealing it was actually the second time she had gone under the knife for her vision.
‘So I thought those of you who have had lens replacement or cataract surgery could share your results here for the benefit of those considering it,’ she continued.
‘Here’s my journey…..’
Buckley said she first had one eye operated on five years ago to improve her reading vision, describing the outcome as life-changing, even if it did not completely eliminate the need for glasses.
‘It was a success and I can read very tiny print on my phone / books / labels etc… so quite liberating but in low light or reading in bed I generally put on glasses,’ she explained.
However, she admitted this latest procedure came with side effects she was not expecting.
‘When I had my first eye done I didn’t get any of this bruising or swelling so I wasn’t expecting it BUT they do say it’s very much a possibility so I know it’s all fine,’ she wrote.

‘I must admit I didn’t expect to wake up looking worse today than yesterday.’
Despite the alarming appearance, Buckley reassured followers that she was not in pain.
‘BTW it’s not sore – just feels weird due to swelling,’ she added.
This time around, the star said she had her distance eye done after her eyesight had deteriorated significantly in recent years.
She also revealed she is now facing several weeks of enforced downtime as part of her recovery.
‘No make-up or swimming or gym or golf for about 4 weeks which will be hard,’ she admitted.
Buckley encouraged others who had undergone similar procedures to share their experiences, describing the surgery as both common and potentially life-changing.
‘Feel free to share your results here for others to learn more about it as it can be life changing and is a very common operation,’ she concluded.
