A lot has changed since Home Alone came out in cinemas 35 years ago – and we’re not just talking about our lives!
In fact, a lot of the actors are unrecognisable nowadays. And Daniel Stern in particular has been a hot topic of discussion ever since he launched his social media pages.
Swapping the glitz and glamour of Hollywood for a peaceful life on a ranch, the actor who played notorious villain Marv now has a much more wholesome job.
The actor starred in many productions since Home Alone but slowly shifted his career from actor to farmer over the years. His last movie was James vs. His Future Self in 2019 and he stars as Eli Hobson in For All Mankind.
In stark contrast to life in front of the camera, Daniel now lives on a farm and grows tangerines. He’s also a cattle rancher and works as a sculptor.
He posts videos of his handiwork on social media – and fans can’t get over how skilful he is at both acting and artistry.

Another replied: “This is not simply ‘Marv from Home Alone,’ this is the LEGEND known as Daniel Stern.”
Meanwhile, others branded him a “serious talent”. Another user expressed: “I had no idea what happened to Marv, but this made me happy to see.”
They added: “This man literally brought tears to my eyes in Home Alone 2. Omg, the first person to make me have tears from laughter. It was the brick scene and the way he reacted to it. I will always respect him. Great work by the way.”
