On 26 December 2025, the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Torch Relay will resume after the two-day Christmas break with the nineteenth stage. The route will cross Campania and Lazio, from Caserta to Latina, passing through Formia, Gaeta and Sabaudia.
The day’s programme
The convoy will leave Caserta at 8.50 a.m. The first torchbearers will accompany the Flame along the city streets and through the historic gardens of the Royal Palace, a symbol of Bourbon magnificence. The second segment will take place in Formia, with arrival scheduled for 11.40, where the Flame will cross the promenade and the main squares of the city.
Subsequently, the convoy will reach Gaeta, starting at 12.40, passing through the historic districts and the panoramic streets overlooking the sea, before reaching Sabaudia at 16.00, with a segment immersed in the natural beauty of the Circeo National Park and the rationalist architecture that characterises the city.
The grand finale will be in Latina, with the city celebration in Piazza della Libertà, which will host shows, artistic performances and festive moments open to the local community, celebrating the arrival of the Flame and the anticipation of the Winter Olympic Games.
During the day, the Flame – accompanied by a separate convoy from the main one – will pass through some places of great beauty: the majestic Royal Palace of Caserta, a symbol of Italy’s artistic and architectural heritage, Minturno, with its ancient history and Roman ruins, and San Felice Circeo, a symbol of the natural beauty and historical tradition of the Lazio coast.
