King Charles II is extremely frustrated by the lack of face time he’s gotten with grandchildren Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet and has implored Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to bring their kids back to the U.K. as soon as possible, Examiner can reveal.
The British monarch, 77, is “so close” with Prince William and Princess Kate’s children, Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7, reveals an insider, but it’s believed that he hasn’t seen Archie, 6, or Lilibet, 4, since June 2022 when Harry, 41, and Meghan, 44, flew to England for Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee celebration.

“He cherishes the relationship he has with [William’s kids],” shares the insider. “But it’s bittersweet because he doesn’t know Harry’s two at all.”
Time is running out, too.
The king recently announced that his cancer treatment will be reduced in the New Year and while that’s “wonderful news,” insists the insider, “he is still no spring chicken.” In other words, “Charles can’t wait forever to form a bond with [Harry’s kids],” the insider explains.

Problem is, Harry was stripped of his U.K. police protection in 2020 after he and Meghan stepped down as senior members of the royal family. Without it, he “does not feel safe” bringing Archie and Lilibet to England, his attorney Shaheed Fatima explained at a preliminary hearing for his ongoing court battle with the Home Office to have his security reinstated.
“The situation weighs on Charles a lot more than he lets on,” admits the insider, adding that His Majesty has been pushing Harry to find a way to make a reunion happen. “These are his grandchildren, his flesh and blood. He wants to get to know them in the time he has left.”
