Kern County Sheriff deputies are investigating a Christmas Eve stabbing that injured a Taft man.

Taft Police began investigating when the victim showed up bleeding from his wounds at a residence on South Tenth Street about 9:20 a.m., but deputies were called in when it was determined the stabbing occurred on the 100 block of Pico.

The victim, identified only as a 46-year-old man, suffered a stab wound to the leg and a slash wound to hit wrist.

He was transported by ambulance to Kern Medical with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the KCSO.

He is not cooperating with investigators, the KCSO said, but the investigation is ongoing.
