FORT SMITH, Ark. — The Pittsburg State University men’s basketball team dropped a 72-58 road decision to unbeaten and No. 11 ranked University of Arkansas-Fort Smith Thursday (Jan. 1).
The Gorillas (8-5, 2-1 MIAA) dropped their first game in league play, while the Lions (12-0, 3-0 MIAA) maintained their unblemished conference slate.
Freshman guard Mason English and junior guard Connor Rogers contributed 11 points apiece to pace the Pitt State offense. English added seven rebounds and four assists on the afternoon. Freshman forward Ethan Sage chipped in with 10 points and five rebounds in his return to action, after being sidelined the past eight games with an injury.
