With the new year comes new stores and new businesses opening in south-central Pa.
Hospitals, a large discount store, a Starbucks, two Wawas, two Sheetz stores and an early learning center will be among the new locations opening in 2026.
Here’s a look at what’s opening in Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Lancaster and York counties in 2026.
Adams CountyStraban Township
UPMC is expanding services at the UPMC Outpatient Center at 20 Expedition Trail. A new suite will open on Jan. 5, with additional services continuing to move in through January and early February. Once complete, the suites will include primary care, cardiology, pulmonary and sleep medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, general surgery, gastroenterology, weight management, urology, and ENT, as well as lab services and cardiovascular and pulmonary testing.
Cumberland CountyEast Pennsboro Township
UPMC Women’s Behavioral Health Specialists
The office will be moving to 100 Corporate Drive on Jan. 20. The office provides therapy and medicine management for women. Appointments will automatically transfer to the new location.
Hampden Township

Pam Health is building a 42-bed post-acute medical rehabilitation hospital in Cumberland Technology Park at 4685 Mount Zion Drive. The hospital will serve patients recovering from debilitating illnesses and injuries, including traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries, strokes and other neurological disorders, amputations, and other orthopedic and post-surgical conditions.
T-Mobile plans to relocate a store to Beltway Towne Centre at 5401 Carlisle Pike in the first quarter of 2026.

The practice will provide obstetrics and gynecologic care at 127 Walnut Bottom Road, beginning on January 23.
South Middleton Township

WellSpan Carlisle Hospital and medical campus
The small-format hospital will open in May at 1201 Walnut Bottom Road.
WellSpan Carlisle Hospital and medical campus will include a 20,000-square-foot neighborhood hospital, and a 35,000-square-foot ambulatory center, and a medical office building. The neighborhood hospital will include a 24/7 emergency room along with 10 inpatient beds and some basic diagnostic services. The ambulatory center will include four operating rooms, imaging services and laboratories, as well as additional space for medical practices. WellSpan’s existing primary care practice in the area will move to the campus. Plastic surgery and neuroscience practices will also open on the campus.
Dauphin CountyMiddletown
Fine Wine & Good Spirits at Midtown Plaza will move to a larger 4,699-square-foot space.
Susquehanna Township
The Pennsylvania State Employees Credit Union is building a new branch at Susquehanna Union Green at 2605 Linglestown Road. PSECU expects to open the 3,600-square-foot location in the summer. The new branch will offer cash services, account consultations, personalized loan support, and 24/7 ATM access.
Swatara Township

Savers, a for-profit thrift retailer, will open a 34,938-square-foot store in the former Christmas Tree Shops location at High Pointe Commons. The company partners with local nonprofit organizations by purchasing donated clothing and household items, helping fund community programs.
Hoss’s Steak & Sea House restaurant at 9009 Bridge Road, off Route 322 in Swatara Township, has closed after being sold.

Penn State Health Lancaster Medical Center
Penn State Health is expanding its services at its hospital in Lancaster County with the opening of a Level II neonatal intensive care unit, which is expected to open by the fall of 2026. Officials said the Level II NICU will provide advanced care for newborns who need a higher level of medical support than a standard newborn nursery.
East Lampeter Township
Sheetz is opening a store at 2102 Lincoln Highway East in January.

Membership includes 24/7 access to indoor golf simulators.Ezzy Eats Authentic Mexican Restaurant will open its first brick-and-mortar location. Ezzy Eats is currently a food truck. The restaurant will offer casual sit-down and takeout service featuring Mexican cuisine. West Donegal Township
Catherine Hershey Schools for Early Learning/CHS New Danville
The school is expected to open in the summer at 393 Long Lane. Catherine Hershey Schools provide free early childhood education to children from economically disadvantaged and at-risk backgrounds. The schools serve 150 children, from six weeks to five years old.
Lebanon County
The store will open at Promenade at Lebanon.
York CountyNewberry Township

The small-format hospital will open in March at 36 Robinhood Drive.
The hospital will include an emergency department as well as 10 inpatient beds. In addition to inpatient and emergency care, WellSpan Newberry Hospital will provide diagnostic capabilities including ultrasound, computed tomography, X-ray and laboratory services. The emergency department will treat common emergency care needs such as falls, injuries, burns and infections.
Hopewell Township

The small-format hospital will open in April at 13515 Wolfe Road. The hospital said that the acute-care facility is designed to bring essential medical services closer to the residents of this part of York County and in nearby northern Maryland.
West Manchester Township
Orthopedic Institute of Pennsylvania/UPMC
OIP will open the new outpatient clinic in the UPMC Memorial Outpatient Services Building at 1703 Innovation Drive, Suite 3136 on Feb. 1. The clinic will provide outpatient orthopedic services and an orthopedic injury walk-in clinic for urgent care. Windsor Township
