The new year began with a joyful arrival at ECU Health Medical Center as the first baby of 2026 was born early New Year’s morning.
Hudson Duran made his grand entrance at 7:30 a.m., bringing smiles to his family and the care team who welcomed him into the world.
He is the son of Alyssa Mercer and Harley Duran of Snow Hill. Both Hudson and his mother are doing well.
The ECU Health team is thrilled to celebrate this special milestone with the Duran family and to start the year by welcoming a new life.
