South County Hospital said all visitors, patients and health care workers will be required to wear a mask starting Monday.

The masking requirement applies to all patient care areas and anywhere there are people congregating, including the lobby and waiting rooms.

The requirement applies to South County Hospital and all South County Health locations, including Express Care, lab, diagnostic imaging, primary care, Center for Women’s Health, and specialty practices.

Rhode Island has a seen a surge in flu and COVID-19 cases.

Brown University Health and Care New England already have masking requirements in place.
