Amanda Seyfried misunderstood the testament of Timothée Chalamet.

The Housemaid actress wasn’t quite sure what the Marty Supreme actor was referencing when he thanked his “partner of three years” during his acceptance speech for Best Actor at the 2026 Critics Choice Awards—but now she does.

After Timothée ended his speech by looking at his girlfriend Kylie Jenner and saying, “Thank you for our foundation. I love you. I couldn’t do this without you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart,” Amanda admitted she thought the Oscar nominee had been referencing a charity that he had been partnering with.

“OH not like a foundation/charity,” the 40-year-old—who was nominated for Best Actress for her performance in The Testament of Ann Lee—wrote in the comment section of Evan Ross Katz’s Jan. 4 Instagram post about the moment. “I was curious about that.”

Amanda’s wasn’t the only notable social media reaction to Timmy’s speech, either.

The Dune actor’s mom Nicole Flander shared a video of her son’s speech taken of her television that she posted to Instagram Jan. 4 and said, “My son just won the Critics Choice Award for best actor!!”

And, while Timothée’s shoutout to Kylie marked his first public acknowledgement of their otherwise extremely private relationship, Nicole had previously expressed her support of their romance.

“I have to say she’s lovely,” Nicole said of Kylie in an interview with Curbed published in April. “She’s very nice to me.”

The 67-year-old—who shares the Lady Bird star and Pauline Chalamet, 33, with Marc Chalamet—may be privy to her son’s relationship, but she likes to give her children space as they navigate the world more independently.

As she quipped, “Would you like your mom to be trailing you everywhere? I like being able to go visit them.”

Indeed, the New Yorker now has a place to visit her son on the West Coast, with Timmy buying a Beverly Hills mansion last year that reportedly cost $11 million—not that he asked her for permission before making such a large purchase.

“Did he ask for my advice? No,” she admitted, laughing. “He said, ‘Guess what? I bought a house.’”

Timmy and Kylie weren’t the only couple at the 2026 Critics Choice Awards. Keep reading for more duos who hit the red carpet together…
