(WLUK) — A local recycling group is educating Northeast Wisconsin residents about the importance of recycling the right items the right way.
The Tri-County Recycling Partnership, which serves Brown, Outagamie and Winnebago counties, released a new video that provides a guided behind-the-scenes tour of its facility in Appleton.
The goal of the video is to help everyone better understand what happens to their recyclables after they leave the curb. It highlights how materials are sorted, the role of technology and staff in the process and why recycling correctly matters.
“Recycling can feel like a mystery once materials leave your bin,” said Jordan Hiller, recycling and solid waste program coordinator for Outagamie County Recycling & Solid Waste.
This video helps pull back the curtain and shows how the system works, while reinforcing the importance of recycling the right items the right way.Comment with Bubbles

Officials hope the video will be used by educators, municipalities and community organizations as a learning tool — offering an accessible way for residents, students and community members to learn about the regional recycling system without attending an in-person tour.
