Bruno Mars has announced that his new album, “The Romantic,” is set to release on February 27, with new music dropping this Friday.
The singer teed up the album announce earlier this week by posting on social media that his album was done. “The Romantic” will be his fourth studio album and first solo outing since “24K Magic,” which dropped in 2016. He last released a project in 2021 as one-half of Silk Sonic alongside Anderson .Paak with the record “An Evening With Silk Sonic,” which earned them Grammys for record of the year, song of the year, best R&B performance and best R&B song.
Though Mars has been out of the spotlight as a solo artist, he spent 2025 dominating the charts with various collaborations. “Die With a Smile,” his duet with Lady Gaga, was one of the biggest singles of the year, crowning the Billboard Hot 100 for five non-consecutive weeks and becoming the fastest song to reach a billion Spotify streams. He also popped up alongside Sexyy Red for “Fat Juicy & Wet” and Rosé for “APT.,” the latter of which is nominated for record of the year, song of the year and best pop duo/group performance at the Grammys next month.
Mars’ last album, “24K Magic,” released in Nov. 2016 and bowed at No. 2 on the Billboard 200. It spawned the singles “24K Magic,” “That’s What I Like” and “Finesse (Remix)” featuring Cardi B. Before that, he was featured on Mark Ronson’s massive hit “Uptown Funk,” which scored record of the year at the 2016 Grammys.
