The video was taken by Oliv3r Drone Photography on Wednesday, January 7, as Great Yarmouth Borough Council deemed an additional 14 clifftop homes at imminent risk of collapsing onto the beach.

People living in the impacted properties on The Marrams and Fakes Road have been urged to leave their houses, especially overnight tonight (January 8) and over the weekend, because of the risk of cliff falls during Storm Goretti.

Over the past three weeks, contractors have already demolished nine houses built on the vulnerable, crumbling dunes.

A spokesperson for Great Yarmouth Borough Council said: “We have been liaising closely with people affected by erosion in Hemsby for some time, but the recent spate of storms and forecast of further damage from Storm Goretti means some properties are now in an even more precarious position.”

Hemsby has already lost almost 30 homes to the sea in the last 15 years.
