BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh (7-7, 3-0) welcomes Colgate (5-9, 1-2) to Stabler Arena for a Saturday afternoon showdown. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m.
The Mountain Hawks have opened Patriot League play 3-0, picking up wins over Army, Bucknell and Holy Cross. On Wednesday evening, Lehigh defeated Holy Cross, which had entered the game unbeaten in league play, 60-57 in Worcester, Mass.
In the win at Holy Cross, senior Lily Fandre reached the 1,000-point milestone in the first quarter, becoming the 25th player in program history to score 1,000 career points at Lehigh, and led the Mountain Hawks with 23 points on 9-of-15 shooting from the field. Junior Jessie Ozzauto added 17 points on 6-of-10 shooting, with seven of her points coming in the fourth quarter.
Lehigh will recognize Fandre for her achievement in a pregame ceremony Saturday.
The Mountain Hawks boast a balanced offensive attack, with five players averaging in double figures. Fandre leads the team at 14.5 points per game and has scored in double figures in each of the last eight games.
Colgate enters the matchup 1-2 in Patriot League play and 5-9 overall. The Raiders opened league play with a win over Lafayette but have dropped their last two games to Army and American. Ella Meabon leads the team offensively, ranking fifth in the league with 15.3 points per game.
