It marks the culmination of a £5m programme of improvements to the two estates announced in 2019.
The work has included the creation of 280 permit parking spaces for St Peter’s residents and 329 spots for the public.
The work has also seen a number of courtyards and green spaces cleaned up, and the revamp of a play area in Lethbridge Close.
Elly Cutkelvin, deputy city mayor for housing, economy and neighbourhoods, said: “These new parking spaces are what residents have been asking for, and getting rid of the outdated garage blocks has significantly improved the area.
“I’m very glad that we have been able to make these improvements.”
