Alix Earle has revealed that her mom, Alisa, has been diagnosed with breast cancer.

On Sunday, Jan. 11, Alix, 25, opened up about her mom’s health journey in a post shared on Instagram and TikTok, posting a video showing her and her sister, Ashtin, by their mom’s side in hospital, doing her hair, holding her hand, and having some ice cream and drinks together.

Alix posted the clip with “F!ck Cancer” written over it, while a voiceover said, “Strong women never give up. We might need a coffee, we might need a good cry, we might need a day in bed but we will always come back stronger.”

She captioned the post, “Go momma! So proud and inspired by you 💕 no challenge you can’t face and come back stronger .. I love you! #breastcancerawareness.”

Alix confirmed Alisa had received the diagnosis halfway through her competing on season 34 of Dancing with the Stars last year, as she responded to a social media user’s TikTok comment about “struggling” on the dance competition.

“We found out abt halfway through the season and she still showed up every week 💗,” Alix — who ended the season as runner-up with her dance partner, Val Chmerkovskiy — wrote.

Alix mentioned that her mom had been in the hospital for an operation in a Jan. 7 social media clip, which saw her discuss a recent trip she’d taken, after flying to four different countries in two days.

“Back home in Jersey, my mom is in the hospital for her operation right now, so I’m going to go see her,” the influencer shared. “I may or may not talk more about this this week. I just want to see how everything goes and, first of all, just be there for her.”

“It’s also something that, during my travels, I had a few cries,” she continued. “But her boyfriend and my sister have been with her this morning.”

“So, we’re gonna pick her up tomorrow morning from the hospital, because we are gonna be taking care of her,” Alix told her followers.

The internet personality had previously shared in a Dec. 28 TikTok that she and her sister Ashtin had spent the day after Christmas with her mom in the hospital to meet with doctors, revealing that she was “going through something right now with her health.”

“That day was honestly a little hard for me,” Alix said in her December update. “This was also something we found out about while I was on Dancing with the Stars, so that was just another one of the things I was dealing with.”

Alix previously admitted in a TikTok after she finished filming the reality competition show that she had “a lot” going on in her life that she didn’t share for television.

Debriefing the end of the DWTS season in a clip at the end of November, Alix admitted that the 11-week experience had been “emotional” for her, telling her followers, “There were a lot of points throughout the season that I was sitting with myself and in these thoughts and started to realize these things or realize what I wanted in life. And I think as those thoughts would come up, I think it was scary.”

“There was just a lot that happened in my personal life throughout the season that I am happy — I think — that I didn’t share for television, which I thought about at times,” she continued. “But I didn’t want to just say things for the sake of making a really entertaining package and putting these stories in other people’s hands. So I am proud of myself for that.”
