Pets are just as capable of experiencing big feelings the way we do, even if they can’t talk about it. They know heartbreak, love, pain, joy, and all the hellos and goodbyes they’ve ever experienced. Of all the animals in the kingdom, some special birds are part of an elite group, capable of speaking their minds, and it’s too sweet.
One such cutie is Sweet Pea, a sweet Cockatoo who’s never held back her feelings on anything before. Now, she has something to say about nearby ducks, and it’s the most precious thing.

The descriptor is in her name—SWEET—because she really is! As a chatty rescue Cockatoo who never fails to entertain, Sweet Pea now has a special message for the ducks outside. Warning: This will warm your heart!
I don’t know how @theparrotlady does it, but she always manages to capture Sweet Pea in her most tender moments. This is one heartfelt Parrot who can make any 7-second clip feel like a warm hug, and she does just that with her “I love you” to the unsuspecting ducks. I think it’s only right that I say, those are some lucky ducks (literally)!

Sweet Pea Is a Real Sweetheart
As if hearing Sweet Pea tell ducks she loves them wasn’t the best thing your ears could hear today, there’s a lot more to this amazing girl. She’s the Cockatoo who gives her dog brother Copper pep talks one minute and helps nurse Mom back to health the next. She’s a pro at supervising repairmen and can’t refrain from saying “I love you” to Mom whenever they’ve been apart for a short time.
This is one loving Cockatoo who can be funny with her Parrot sibling or show off a more flirty side while meeting her internet boyfriend. Like other birds among her species, she’s full of dimension and layers.
Sweet Pea sharing her feelings about ducks doesn’t surprise me, because she’s always offering words of support and encouragement to everyone around her. We should all take a page out of her book and be kind—maybe even tell some random ducks we love them, too!
