Actress and television personality Malaika Arora has spoken candidly about her current relationship with her former partner, actor Arjun Kapoor, describing him as someone who remains “very important” and “an integral part” of her life even after their breakup. The remarks came during a conversation on The Namrata Zakaria Show, where she also addressed ongoing speculation about her personal life and media attention.

Arora and Kapoor were in a relationship for six years before parting ways in 2024. Since then, there has been persistent public and media interest in their individual lives, including fresh link-up rumours surrounding Arora. In her interview, she acknowledged the emotional complexity that comes with any close bond and the passage of time.
“I think anger and hurt exist at a particular phase or time in your life, and I think everybody does. We are humans, we all go through phases of anger and being upset, disappointed. That’s just human nature. But as you go along, as time goes on, and the most cliched line is — time heals all,” Arora said, reflecting on emotional shifts post-breakup.
When asked about her dynamic with Kapoor now, she stated: “It’s not different. But, irrespective, whatever may be, I think he is somebody who is so very important to me and someone who is such an integral part of my life. Whatever may be.” Arora also made it clear that she does not want to dwell on either her past or speculate about the future in great detail, noting that “enough and more has been written about it” and that her personal history has often been treated as fodder by the media.
Beyond her connection with Kapoor, she addressed the recent linkup rumours. “People like talking. If you are spotted with somebody, you go out, and it becomes a huge discussion. I don’t really want to give chatter unnecessarily too much fuel,” Arora explained, adding that even her mother jokingly asks about the identities of people she’s seen with in the media.
