A legendary rock band is set to release its first new music in more than a decade.

Aerosmith has announced “One More Time,” a new five-song EP made in collaboration with Yungblud. The collection will be released Nov. 21 and will feature lead single “My Only Angel,” out this Friday, and a 2025 update to Aerosmith’s classic song “Back in the Saddle.”

It’s Aerosmith’s first new music since their 2012 album “Music From Another Dimension.” It’s also the first major project from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame group since a farewell tour was canceled last year due to singer Steven Tyler’s health issues.

The unlikely pairing may be a surprise to longtime fans of Aerosmith, but Tyler, guitarist Joe Perry and Yungblud recently shared the stage at the MTV Video Music Awards to pay tribute to the late Ozzy Osbourne. The trio performed the heavy metal icon’s solo hit “Mama, I’m Coming Home.”

Yungblud, 28, and Tyler, 77, also appeared at Osbourne’s farewell concert with Black Sabbath earlier this year. Ultimate Classic Rock reports Yungblud covered Black Sabbath’s “Changes,” while Tyler performed ” “Train Kept A-Rollin’,” “Walk This Way” and Led Zeppelin‘s “Whole Lotta Love.”

Yungblud is an English rock singer known for his mix of punk, hip-hop and alternative rock on songs like “11 Minutes” (with Halsey and Travis Barker), “I Think I’m Okay” (with Machine Gun Kelly and Travis Barker), “Obey” (with Bring Me the Horizon) and “Patience” (with KSI). Oscar-nominated actress Florence Pugh starred in Yungblood’s recent music video for “Zombie.”

But he was also just 4 years old the last time Aerosmith had a No. 1 hit, “Jaded,” in 2001.

Aerosmith was scheduled to end its “Peace Out” tour with a Buffalo concert in February, but abruptly retired last August due to Tyler’s vocal injury. At the time, the Grammy-winning group said his voice was not expected to make a full recovery after injuring his larynx three shows into the final tour that originally began in 2023.

Aerosmith was one of the biggest bands on the planet for decades, thanks to hits like “Dream On,” “I Don’t Wanna Miss a Thing,” “Sweet Emotion,” “Crazy,” “Janie’s Got a Gun,” “Livin’ on the Edge” and the Run-DMC collaboration “Walk This Way.” They were the first artist to have its own “Guitar Hero” video game and performed on some of the world’s biggest stages, including the Super Bowl and the FIFA World Cup.

“It has been the honor of our lives to have our music become part of yours. In every club, on every massive tour and at moments grand and private you have given us a place in the soundtrack of your lives,” the band said. “We are grateful beyond words for everyone who was pumped to get on the road with us one last time. Grateful to our expert crew, our incredible team and the thousands of talented people who’ve made our historic runs possible. A final thank you to you – the best fans on planet Earth.”

“Play our music loud, now and always. Dream On. You’ve made our dreams come true.”
