Suhana Khan has been steadily carving her own space in the film industry, but when it comes to life’s big calls, she isn’t afraid to admit that she still leans on her parents. The young actor, who made her screen debut in 2023, recently opened up about decision-making, family dynamics, and growing up in the Shah Rukh Khan-Gauri Khan household, offering a candid glimpse into her world beyond the spotlight.

Suhana was introduced to audiences with The Archies, a teen musical directed by Zoya Akhtar. The film, which also starred Agastya Nanda, Khushi Kapoor, Vedang Raina, Mihir Ahuja, Aditi ‘Dot’ Saigal, and Yuvraj Menda, was an Indian adaptation of the iconic Archie Comics. Set in 1964 in the fictional hill station of Riverdale, the film attempted to blend nostalgia with a coming-of-age story, though it opened to mixed reviews.

Who makes big decisions for Suhana Khan’s life?
In a recent interview with Bazaar India, Suhana spoke about how she approaches important decisions. She explained that she usually follows her instinct first, tries to back it up with logic, and then ends up overthinking the entire process. However, she added that no matter how much she weighs her options, the final word often comes from her parents. According to her, both Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan play a decisive role when it comes to choices that truly matter.

Talking about growing up at home, Suhana highlighted how different her parents are in the way they offer advice. She shared that her father tends to speak in a more poetic and reflective manner, often giving her layered perspectives on life. Her mother, on the other hand, prefers being direct and to the point, cutting through confusion with clear, practical guidance. Suhana said this contrast helps her find balance, as she gets both emotional depth and grounded clarity from them.

Handling pressure is another aspect Suhana addressed during the interaction. She admitted that it’s easy to get caught up in how one is perceived, but she consciously avoids going down that path. Instead, she focuses on one moment and one task at a time, believing that overthinking public opinion can quickly become overwhelming.
Interestingly, Suhana also spoke about her evolving relationship with acting. She revealed that she wasn’t particularly interested in becoming an actor while growing up and even felt pushed toward it at one point. However, her time at boarding school, where she began performing in plays, changed her perspective and sparked a genuine interest in the craft.
On the education front, Suhana studied at Dhirubhai Ambani International School in Mumbai before moving to Ardingly College in the UK, where she focused on drama. She later pursued formal training at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts in the US.

She is currently shooting for King, an action-thriller directed by Siddharth Anand, where she will star alongside her father, Shah Rukh Khan, for the first time. The film also features Deepika Padukone and Abhishek Bachchan and is slated for a 2026 release.
