The Food and Drug Administration has announced a recall for a dietary supplement with undeclared ingredients that can cause life-threatening events including “suicidal ideation.”

Modern Warrior is recalling all lots of its Modern Warrior Ready products, a dietary supplement available for purchase online.

The products may contain undeclared traces of tianeptine, 1,4-DMAA and aniracetam, according to a press release from the Food and Drug Administration.

The Food and Drug Administration said that tianeptine can cause life-threatening events including suicidal ideation or behavior in children, teenagers and adults 25 years old and younger.

In addition, 1,4-DMAA use can elevate blood pressure and could lead to cardiovascular problems, including heart attacks, shortness of breath and tightening of the chest, according to the Food and Drug Administration.

The recalled product was distributed to customers nationwide from April 2022 to Dec. 8, 2025. The product was sold in a black plastic supplement bottle with a black lid sealed with black and gold shrink wrap. The front label has the Modern Warrior logo in gold at the top.

Modern Warrior has stopped distribution and all of its remaining inventory has been quarantined to prevent any more contamination, according to the Food and Drug Administration.

Any customers who bought the contaminated products are recommended to stop using them immediately.

No information was provided on potential refunds, but customers can reach out to Modern Warrior at (314) 713-1984 or theviking@modernwarrior.life.
