Novak Djokovic is up and running in 2026.

On his 21st Australian Open appearance, the Olympic tennis men’s singles champion opened with a comprehensive 6-3, 6-2, 6-2 win against Pedro Martínez on Monday (19 January).

The 38-year-old needed just two hours to seal his 100th main draw victory at Melbourne Park. Djokovic will next face Italian qualifier Francesco Maestrelli, who is ranked 141st in the world, in the second round.
