Millions of iPhones are at risk of a cyberattack, and Apple is urging users to update their device immediately.

According to Fox News, Apple confirmed two critical vulnerabilities in WebKit, which powers Safari and all other browsers on iOS.

According to Apple, these flaws were used in a sophisticated attack targeting specific individuals. It allowed malicious websites to trick iPhones and iPads into running harmful code, which allows attackers to gain control of the device, steal passwords, or access payment information, according to the media report.

Apple released a security fix in its latest software update. However, about 50% of users haven’t upgraded to the latest iOS 26, according to Fox News. This leaves around 800 million devices vulnerable across the world.

Affected devices include:

iPhone 11 and lateriPad Pro 12.9-inch 3rd generation and lateriPad Pro 11-inch 1st generation and lateriPad Air 3rd generation and lateriPad 8th generation and lateriPad mini 5th generation and later

It is easy to update your device to the latest software. Make sure your device is connect to Wi-Fi and has enough battery life, or is plugged in.

Simply go to the Settings app, tap General, select Software Update, and download and install iOS 26.2 or iPadOS 26.2 or later.
