SHADOW WALK: Having skipped its traditional presentation this season, Berluti on Wednesday unveiled a new campaign for its Shadow sneaker with a cocktail event at the Lo Brutto Stahl contemporary art gallery during Paris Men’s Fashion Week.
Directed by Beda Achermann and photographed by Roe Ethridge, it features portraits of three men sporting the lightweight woven shoe: British actor, writer and director Rupert Everett; French chef Mory Sacko, and German bartender and man-about-town Charles Schumann.
“I wanted to capture three men, three complementary figures, to reveal the richness of a shared truth. They embody singular convictions and creative impulses that are uniquely their own. Beside them, the Shadow emerges as the natural ally of charismatic men,” Achermann said.
Everett, who is set to guest star in Season Two of Disney+ series “Rivals,” is pictured reading at home. Sacko, founder of the Michelin-starred restaurant Mosuke, is captured in his kitchen, while Schumann is photographed in his flagship bar in Munich.
Since Jean-Marc Mansvelt took over as chief executive officer of Berluti in 2024, the LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton-owned brand has put the focus back on its core collections, with its ready-to-wear line functioning as an extension of the shoes.
“In line with the direction initiated over recent seasons, the house continues its evolution from a traditional fashion brand toward a luxury maison, stepping away from strict seasonality. As part of this ongoing strategy, the new direction has decided to move to a single annual presentation, which will take place in June 2026,” it said.
