RANE unveils new motorised DJ controller · News ⟋ RAThe System One claims to free DJs from their laptops.
RANE has released an all-in-one DJ system.
The RANE System One features two 7.2-inch high-torque motorised platters and a system architecture that supports mixing between local media, streaming services, the cloud and software systems such as Serato. This is managed using RANE’s new Engine DJ operating system, an embedded platform that takes the place of a laptop in a DJ set-up.
The System One also offers stem separation support with Instant Acapella and Instrumental buttons, a stems pad mode, a stem level EQ mode and stem FX for individual tracks. A 7-inch vertical touchscreen with RGB waveforms controls all media, across multiple formats and sources. A bank of more than 25 internal FX can be toggled with paddles and there’s an inbuilt sampler with a dedicated pad mode, plus WiFi support to stream tracks directly into a set.
The cross fader and volume sliders are all tension-adjustable with reverse switches, on-screen calibration and cut-in settings. The controller also offers bundled access to Serato DJ Pro without an additional subscription.
RANE’s System One is available now priced $2,499, €2,499 or £2,199.
